At Animal Cwtch, we bring the comfort, joy, and therapeutic benefits of animal interactions to care homes, hospices, and supported living settings. Our visits provide calm, engaging experiences that promote emotional well-being, social interaction, and sensory stimulation for residents of all ages and abilities.

The Benefits of Animal Therapy for Care Home Residents:

  • Reduces stress and anxiety – Gentle animal interactions help calm nerves and lift moods.

  • Encourages reminiscence and conversation – Many residents recall pets from their past, sparking joyful memories and engagement.

  • Supports sensory stimulation – Touching soft fur, smooth scales, or feathers provides comforting tactile experiences.

✔ Seated, hands-on experiences – Animals are brought directly to residents in chairs, wheelchairs, or beds.

✔ Flexible session lengths – Visits can be one-to-one, small groups, or whole-room experiences.
